Window ledges damasked with decades dust,
all non but the gentle kiss of gone wind
disturbing the grey pieces of the past;
Time moves forever forewards, God’s strongest ‘must’.
Pavements scattered with the corpses of weeds,
Death-bleached gardens, false dreams only growing.
Once beautiful flowers no more glowing.
Time enacting all of its sinful deeds.
You see, Time does not favour any one man.
No, She chooses to devour one and all.
Don’t argue the pain She brings, she just can
bring the strongest family to their fall;
chips away the best of us all, that’s Her plan,
so again, we fail to build ourselves tall.
