Here’s How to use Facebook’s New ‘DISLIKE’ Feature

Finally, after much demand (and also as much backlash) the much anticipated ‘dislike’ feature is finally here…with one large twist.

It isn’t a dislike button.

Instead, perhaps to avoid direct backlash from the concept of ‘disliking’ something and casting a negative tone, they opted for a set of emojis.

The ‘love’ option.

Clearly this is a lot softer, and also clearly, a very large addition on the Facebook we know and love.

To access this new feature, simply hover over the ‘like’ button on the computer, or hold the ‘like’ button on mobile, then slide across and release on the emoji you want.

Currently, there are:

  • Love
  • Haha
  • Wow
  • Sad
  • Angry

I’ve played around with the new feature, and it’s actually rather enjoyable; especially posting the ‘angry’ emoji on all my friends egotistical selfies.

Here are a few more screenshots of the emojis in action.

Finally, here’s what the notifications look like when someone sends one of these new emojis:

Love sent from my fabulous friend, Seppe.
