Red Dead Redemption has long been one of the central pillars of Rockstar games, alongside Grand Theft Auto, pushing the early boundaries of open-world adventure and linear story lines to develop it’s characters to a previously unheard of level.
Set in the American West during the ‘cowboy era’ that incites excitement and euphoria into every gamers hearts, the original Red Dead Redemption won critics over and established itself as both the game of the year and arguably game of the decade.
Since its release in 2010, fans world-wide have eagerly anticipated the next instalment of the game, with rumours peaking in 2016. Despite this, Rockstar stayed quiet on the subject, not discussing it once.
Until today. Through their Twitter account, Rockstar released the following image announcing the next in the Red Dead Redemption line-up:
Critics argued that this could just be a tease towards DLC for GTA Online, but we were adament it was for RDR2. Whilst seemingly vague and random, fans of the franchise quickly recognised the dirty-red from the original game, show below:
The game will only be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC has not been announced, and its expected NOT to appear on that platform.
