The beloved actress from hit movies including Star Wars had suffered a “serious heart attack” and had been rushed to a local hospital in Los Angeles, USA.
Exact details are yet unknown, however LA media are reporting that she was in a “critical condition” after suffering a “cardiac episode”. She was onboard a London to LA flight when the sudden heart attack occurred.
One source on the plane suggested Fisher “wasn’t breathing for 10 minutes”.
Crews onboard the flight were said to have provided emergency care before pramedics arrived. In addition, it was reported that there was at least one doctor or nurse onboard the flight to assist.
Carrie Fisher, who turned 60 years old this year, is arguably best known for her role as Princess Leia in the globally renowned Star Wars series.

Update: On 28 December 2016, Carrie Fisher passed away in hospital, it was confirmed. In a sudden move, the day after (29 December 2016), Carrie’s mother, Debbie Reynolds, also died in hospital due to a stroke.
